Bridges & Flyovers
Airport Flyover
The bridge is two prestressed concrete elevated from Cairo airport to Down Town and vice versa (1180 m long - 21 m wide ) in addition to 6 inlet and 2 outlet ramps.
The bridge is crossing the River Nile with total length of 5 km. (500 m for the river part 35 m wide ) . It has three navigation vents (75m - 130m - 75m). The superstructure is prestressed concrete constructed by cantilever carriage system .
This project consists of a tunnel, bridge works and a road with length 5.5km as follows:
1.Bridges works:
Two elevated pre-stressed concrete bridges:
First: Part crossing Damietta branch and Banha/Zefta railway, with length 1300m, and the navigation vent width is 120m.
Second: Another part
King Faysal bridge is a three-level bridge , 4 kilometres length , its width is ranging from 8.5 to 19 metres. The historic and touristic location of Giza governorate was highly considered in the design done by the Arab Contractors. It is a reinforced concrete bridge except for the part over Giza
