Arab Contractors
The Arab contractors won the tender against five international competitor companies. The project is mainly a 104m long quay of 22m width. The quay is made of layers with a special design, the quantity is a bout 50000m3. The project also includes a building for goods as well as networks for: roads and electricity and other utilities. The land was surveyed by echo sound facilities and the navigation boring reach 120m below the water level. The bottom was cleared to reach the foundation level. Eight caissons were cast by the slip from system at seven meters height on the barge dock designed by the Dutch Company. The height was completed up to 21m, until the bottom level, with the help of gleit Ban Company. All obstacles facing the caissons were removed, including 15 tons concrete blocks.
