The main purpose of Ahmed Orabi Axis is reducing the traffic jam on 26th of July Axis by making new Axis linking El Mohandseen area with the Ring Road and facilitates the traffic.
This project consists of the following:
1.Cars Tunnel: with total length 605m & width 30m and consists of 2 lanes, width of each one 15m.
2.Expansion works of Ahmed Orabi Bridge: for the coming from Ahmed Orabi street heading to Imbaba Airport with length 300m, and vice versa to serve the road Leading to the ring road, width about 30m for both directions.
3.New Bridge to serve the vertical road on 26th of July corridor which leading to the ring road, instead of making new crosses on axis.
4.Linking works with the ring road through making 4 ramps for the ring road serving both directions (Heading to El Haram and Heading to El Marg) and width is about 9m to 9.5m.
5.Pedestrian Bridge: it's a vertical Bridge over Ahmed Orabi Axis road, to serve pedestrians pass the new axis with total length 70m and width 3.75m.
6.Pedestrian Tunnel: it's a vertical Tunnel over Ahmed Orabi Axis road, to serve pedestrians pass the new axis with total length 58m and width 3.5m.
7.In addition to: Public Park about 38 feddan.
