Mohsen Salah, Chairman of the Board, and Mr. Abdel Mohsen Salama, Head of the Journalists Syndicate, attended on Wednesday evening, August 23, the signing ceremony of an agreement between the Journalists Syndicate and Arab Contractors Company for the operation and maintenance of utilities and services at the Syndicate’s building.

Eng. Mohsen Salah, Chairman of the Board, and Mr. Abdel Mohsen Salama, Head of the Journalists Syndicate, attended on Wednesday evening, August 23, the signing ceremony of an agreement between the Journalists Syndicate and Arab Contractors Company for the operation and maintenance of utilities and services at the Syndicate’s building. The agreement was signed by Mr. Hatem Zakaria, in his capacity as Secretary-General of the Syndicate, and Eng. Dr. Roshdy Taher, Chairman and Managing Director of Arab Contractors for Maintenance and Operation.
Mr. Abdel Mohsen Salama, Head of the Journalists Syndicate, stated that Arab Contractors has been playing an outstanding role since the construction of the building, and that the Syndicate is keen to continue its relationship with the company. He added that Arab Contractors is a national company that has upheld Egypt’s stature and serves as an ambassador abroad, particularly through its vital projects. He expressed his hope that Africa would have more companies like Arab Contractors, praising the significant projects implemented by the company across the continent.
For his part, Eng. Mohsen Salah said that the Journalists Syndicate represents all Egyptians and is a long-established and prominent institution. He noted that Arab Contractors constructed the building and is thoroughly familiar with its details, making the company best suited to service it.
Salah added that in the past the contract had been largely symbolic, but rising prices necessitated a reassessment due to increased costs. He explained that he proposed to the Head of the Journalists Syndicate that the contract be transferred to a specialized maintenance and operation company affiliated with Arab Contractors and dedicated to this field.
Eng. Mohsen Salah further indicated that the specialized subsidiary of Arab Contractors will undertake the servicing and maintenance of the building, adding: “We exerted considerable effort with Eng. Dr. Roshdy Taher, Chairman of the specialized company, and pressed for the pricing to be set at cost.”
Eng. Ahmed Raed, Head of the Public and Sports Facilities Sector, clarified that the contract covers the maintenance of electromechanical equipment, the management of restaurants, cafeterias, and the garage, as well as comprehensive cleaning services for the entire building. The contract duration is three years.
