It is considered the biggest cars and pedestrians tunnel in Upper Egypt to link Eastern and Western Assiut. Putting into consideration the maximum safety standards of tunnels insides towns. Its Height is up to 4.5m and consists of 3 internal tunnels. the first is a two-way vehicles tunnel (300m length and 14m width)linking the East and West district. another one way auxiliary tunnel linking Al Geesh street with Al Zahraa district (160m length and 7m width. The third one is pedestrian tunnel (170m length and 3.5 m width).
