The airport covers an area of ​​4,200 square meters and includes eight aircraft parking areas. Its terminals, after renovation, can accommodate 1,000 passengers per hour.
Luxor Airport is the second international airport in Egypt after Cairo International Airport.
It was co-financed by the World Bank as part of the development of Luxor, making it one of the world's major tourist cities.

Project Key Components:

International Departure and Arrival Terminal
Over an area of ​​500 square meters, designed in a Pharaonic style, in keeping with the city's touristic character, including all navigation services, including airline offices, baggage conveyor belts, and a billboard.
Completion Date: September 1986

New Control Tower
37 meters high, over an area of ​​500 square meters, consisting of a basement and nine floors, and equipped with a lotus-shaped cabin, constructed using sliding beams.
Completion Date: September 1989

Airport Tarmac
Over an area of ​​60,000 square meters.
And its annexes:
A warehouse building, a power station, a car park, and a new airport gate.
Completion date: June 1990
